Karunya Trust, is a Multi Religious Non Governmental organisation, registered under Bombay Public Trust Act 1950 formed in May 1998 and it was inaugurated by the then Governer Dr. P.C Alexander. It Stand For the noble ideals of the development of the society, as children being its central point. The trust caters to the needs of children irrespective of caste, creed and religion. The major thrust is to develop new programs to achieve the over-all development of children by providing educational, vocational and health facilities All activities of the Trust are patterned on the model evolved by Mother Teresa and are dedicated to her memory. Karunya Trust was in fact established in the year she died and its activities are being reinforced on the eve of her beatification
